You love your family. You’d do anything for them, including purchase a large vessel to tote them all around. In your search for a family-friendly SUV, you’ve come across the 2023 Wagoneer and the 2023 Lincoln Navigator. Both look like top-notch options for your Uvalde, Del Rio, or Laredo, TX travels, but which one is better?
Our team at Cecil Atkission Motors CDJR, Uvalde was determined to find out; so, we’ve created this Wagoneer vs. Lincoln Navigator comparison. Ready to get started?
You want an SUV that helps you have fun. Better yet, you want a vehicle that can help make long-lasting memories for your kids. Thanks to versatile capabilities in the Wagoneer and the Lincoln Navigator, you can go camping, biking, hiking, fishing, or any activity that sparks your adventure bug.
Choose Your Engine
The Wagoneer has two available engines ready to boot up your adventures:
On the other hand, the Lincoln Navigator has one engine available, and it also outputs over 400 horsepower! So, if you want a fast-accelerating model, you’ll find it in either SUV.
However, since the Wagoneer offers two engines, you’ll have an additional way to find the performance you crave.
Tug Along Your Toys
With comparable engines under their respective hoods, the Wagoneer and the Navigator probably have similar pulling power, right? Actually, the Wagoneer takes the lead on this one. It can tow up to 10,000 pounds when properly equipped, while the Lincoln taps out at 8,700 pounds.
Both models will be able to tow:
With the Wagoneer’s heightened capabilities, you can add a fifth-wheel RV, a mobile home, or even some construction equipment to the list!
Your large family needs space. A lot of it. Between car seats, your kids’ backpacks, your German Shepherd, and all other gear that comes along, a little space flexibility is a must-have. Good thing the Wagoneer and the Lincoln Navigator are rich in room.
Space You Can Count On
The cabins of these SUVs can be fully optimized to carry your gear; however, the Wagoneer offers more cargo space overall:
With additional cubic footage in the Wagoneer, you’ll have all the space you need for cargo of all sizes. If you can’t fold down all the seats, each model has a generous trunk as well. However, the Lincoln’s 20.9-cubic foot trunk pales in comparison to the Wagoneer’s 27.4-cubic foot trunk.
Cozy Quarters
We’re confident in saying that each and every person will feel comfortable in the Wagoneer and the Navigator. Although the Wagoneer offers 179 cubic feet of passenger space compared to the Lincoln’s 172 cubic feet of rider room, either model will keep you content through all weather conditions.
Three-zone automatic climate control and heated and ventilated front seats both come standard on these SUVs!
Nothing short of greatness awaits you in the Wagoneer and the Lincoln. From impressive infotainment setups to standard driver assistance, these vehicles know a thing or two about how to keep you entertained and how to help keep you safe.
Copilot Controls
Large infotainment display? Check. Prominent instrument cluster? Check. Easy screen navigation? Check. Both the Wagoneer and the Navigator check off all your boxes in the technology department. However, the Wagoneer may have another feature you didn’t even know you needed.
Mounted ahead of the front-seat passenger is the available class-exclusive 10.25-inch Front-Passenger Interactive Display. It’s connected to the driver’s screen, and it allows your copilot to participate in the drive by updating directions, relaying trip information, or handling the tunes.
While the Lincoln’s cockpit offers a premium experience, it goes without a similar screen.
Awareness-Boosting Technology
To help protect your most precious cargo, the Wagoneer and the Navigator have standard safety suites; they even have a few similar systems in common, including brand-specific versions of:
What the Lincoln is missing is a comparable Drowsy Driver Detection feature. This available Wagoneer system uses driver-facing cameras to monitor your behavior behind the wheel. If any signs of driver fatigue or microsleep are recognized, this system will alert you accordingly.
The 2023 Wagoneer and the 2023 Lincoln Navigator are both showstoppers. However, we believe the greater pulling power, the larger interior, and the unique technologies of the Wagoneer are must-haves. If you agree, visit Cecil Atkission Motors CDJR, Uvalde near Uvalde, Del Rio, and Laredo, TX for a test drive.
