Do you want to command the streets of Uvalde, Del Rio, or Laredo, TX in a classic, high-performance SUV? When you get behind the wheel of the Wagoneer or the Cadillac Escalade, you’ll fall in love with driving all over again.
You’ll make an excellent choice with either model. However, the Cecil Atkission Motors CDJR, Uvalde team wants to make sure you know how they differ so you’ll have a better sense of which one will better fit your lifestyle. Check out this Wagoneer vs. Cadillac Escalade comparison to learn more!
When you fire up the Wagoneer or the Cadillac Escalade, the roar of the engine will provide that extra shot of adrenaline you need to get going—and that’s just the start, as both sets of wheels offer incredible performance. However, the Wagoneer has quite a few advantages.
Brute Strength
For starters, the Wagoneer can tow up to 10,000 pounds, whereas the Cadillac Escalade can only tow up to 8,200 pounds. This can be a deciding factor for many drivers, especially if you’re using your vehicle for work purposes or need to take a trailer along for your upcoming move.
Groundbreaking Adaptability
While both SUVs make rear-wheel drive standard, the Wagoneer also offers three 4x4 systems, all of which aid in its legendary performance. If you’re driving the Cadillac Escalade, you won’t have access to multiple 4x4 systems.
Let’s not forget about the Wagoneer’s available Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System. This feature offers multiple drive modes, including Rock, Sand/Mud, and more, which are all designed to adapt to the surface you’re traveling on. While the Escalade has a standard Tow/Haul mode selector, it doesn’t have a more comprehensive drive mode system.
When you think of large SUVs like the Wagoneer and the Cadillac Escalade, you may not think they’re synonymous with efficiency. However, both models are here to blow your expectations out of the water.
Built for Endurance
You’ve got places to go. You have to drop off the kids at school and run to the post office all before you head to work. You certainly don’t have time to stop at the pump in between, which is why the Wagoneer delivers an EPA-estimated 16 city/22 highway MPG rating.
The Cadillac Escalade, on the other hand, produces an EPA-estimated 14 city/19 highway MPG rating, which is impressive considering its grand size; however, it pales in comparison to the Wagoneer’s performance.
In It for the Long Haul
When it is time to stop at the pump, you’ll be able to hold more fuel in the Wagoneer thanks to its 26.5-gallon fuel tank capacity. While the Escalade comes right behind with a 24-gallon fuel tank, the additional two gallons in the Wagoneer will help you stay on course with fewer pit stops in between.
When seeking your dream ride, a roomy, comfortable interior is likely at the top of your must-have list. Thankfully, you and your passengers will have all the space and luxury you need when it comes to the Wagoneer or the Cadillac Escalade.
Need Some Space?
The front of each SUV provides comparable headroom and legroom, but the Wagoneer has a decided advantage in other areas. In the front, the Wagoneer has 63.4 inches of hip room and 66.1 inches of shoulder room. The Escalade only offers 61.7 inches of front hip room and 65.5 inches of shoulder room.
The Wagoneer also holds an advantage across the board in the second row.
Settle Into Your Sweet Spot
After a long day at work, you can relieve pressure in either the Wagoneer or the Cadillac. Both models have standard heated front seats to melt away any knots in your back. Plus, both of their driver’s seats are power adjustable; however, the Wagoneer’s seat can be moved in 12 ways while the Cadillac’s can be adjusted in eight.
The Wagoneer also adds standard ventilated front seats; so, you can enjoy a chilled seat and driving experience during warmer weather. This seating amenity is available with an upgrade on the Escalade.
When you pit the Wagoneer and the Cadillac Escalade against each other, the choice may seem like a tough one. However, when you consider the performance capabilities, MPG, and luxurious cabin that the Wagoneer provides, the team at Cecil Atkission Motors CDJR, Uvalde thinks drivers in Uvalde, Del Rio, or Laredo, TX will prefer the Wagoneer over the Escalade.
